How to check your alarm

1. Look for a recognized Canadian certification mark on the alarm or packaging (CSA, ULC, cULus, cETLus).
2. Compare your model number against Health Canada’s recall database.
3. Register your alarm with the manufacturer so you receive recall notices.
4. Replace recalled alarms immediately; do not rely on them for protection.
